Big Game Fishing Club
It is the mission of the Boston Big Game Fishing Club to provide world class
sport fishing events, promote ethical and conservative fishing practices,
assisting state and federal agencies in scientific research programs and to
promote awareness of the fish that swim in our oceans.
For the third consecutive year, the BBGFC has raised $3,800 in funds for the
acquisition of satellite Pop-Up Archival Transmitting tags for use in
gathering habitant preferences, distribution, and migration patterns of the
large pelagic sharks found in and around Massachusetts waters.
In 2008, the BBGFC intends to make a monetary contribution to the Oak Bluffs
Harbor Patrol Boat fund as we have done for the last several years.
Sustaining Membership
This year, each registered vessel owner/captain that enters
a BBGFC Tournament will become a Sustaining Member of the Club for the 2008
year.
As a Sustaining Member, you will be asked to submit a
picture of your vessel and a photo of yourself (by May 1st) for inclusion in the
2008 Program Guide. You will be provided with the opportunity to take a
full color ¾ page advertisement in the Program Guide for just $200.
Additionally, Sustaining Members will receive the 2008 Program Guide, a
BBGFC embroidered jacket and an assortment of boating/fishing related products
as part of the BBGFC Captain’s Bag.
