Dear Boston Big Game Fishing Club Member:

The 2008 Summer Tournament Series will include:

●22^nd Annual Monster Shark Tournament, July 17–19, 2008

●14^th Annual Top Gun Marlin & Tuna Shoot Out, Aug. 14–16, 2008

●2^nd Annual South Shore Tuna Tournament, (dates & details pending)

During the dates of the Monster Shark Tournament, there are only 68 transient slips available in the Oak Bluffs Marina. As in previous years, these slips will be allocated based upon tournament participation/seniority.

Please be advised that there will still be a shortage of slips and this holds especially true if your vessel has a large beam. I ask that you complete and mail the attached forms along with your entry fee check as soon as possible as the 68 slips are still on a first come, first basis!

To register early for the chance to get a slip, you must:

1) have fished 7 of the last 8 Monster Shark Tournaments

2) complete the “Tournament Application”

3) sign and date the “Release And Indemnification Agreement”

4) Enclose payment check and mail

We will phone you when your Tournament Application, Indemnification Agreement and Entry Fee are received. Your name and vessel name will be added to the tournament list and then forwarded to the Oak Bluffs Marina. You will then be able to contact the Oak Bluffs Marina and arrange dockage during the tournament.

During the dates of the Top Gun, the Oak Bluffs Marina will fill very quickly as well. Therefore, you should sign up for the tournament and secure your slip as soon as possible.

The South Shore Tuna Tournament will be based from Scituate, MA. Please check our web site (www.bbgfc.com) for the pending dates and details. The web site is currently being updated to include 2008 tournament rules and entry forms.
